Minutes of Meeting (9th July, 2009)

We had the monthly meeting of Dew Drops in 9^th July, 2009.

The meeting was attended by the following members:

We had a healthy discussion on the latest requirements and the further path forward for Dew Drops. The meeting was highly successful as I am happy to announce the following discussions and important decisions taken during this meeting:

1. Further to the announcement of the office bearers for Dew Drops further discussions were held and Mr. Sakthi Ganesan (Tebodin) and Mr. M. Nagarajan (NPCC) were included in the committee to cater to the requirements of our increasing strength.

2. Mr. A. Rathinakumar of Tebodin – Chennai attended the meeting and showed keen interest to participate in our activities. He also promised to put forth his efforts start DewDrops’ activities in Chennai among his friends. Members thanked Mr. Rathinakumar for his interest and promised all possible assistance to succeed in his efforts.

3. We have received many requests for assistance forwarded by various members and the details of the requests received so far and their approval status are as follows:

a. Requests up to Request No. 2009-007 were approved so far and other requests were taken up during this meeting.

b. Request No. 2009-008 to 011 – These were requests forwarded by Mr. Annamalai who received a request to help a group of poor students for their educational, uniform and book expenses from a school in Kanchipuram district. As this was an urgent request and the committee could not meet within a short notice it was decided through exchange of emails to approve these requests. Subsequently assistance was provided to the students by Mr. Annamalai’s wife personally. The school children, staff and the local village community had assembled in large numbers when she went there and the school staff organized a small function after the Morning Prayer meeting during which our efforts were greatly appreciated by the school head master, staff and the village chiefs.

c. Other requests were taken up by the committee and approved after analyzing the cases.

d. Mr. Rathinakumar expressed his interest to assist Ms. Swasthika (whose case was forwarded by Mr. Ramesh Babu (NPCC) which was accepted by the committee.

4. Members are further requested to provide their inputs to the improvement of the blogspot. Further news/information/MOM etc. of our Dewdrops will only be posted on the blogspot and members are advised to check the site periodically.

5. A request is put forth to all members to be more active in future in identifying needy students and also in promptly giving your contributions to your respective coordinators.
